neelāmbuja shyāmal komalāngam : the blue lotus like soft body parts are of child rama, thus it is the description of the baal-leela of lord rama. sītā samāropita vāma bhāgam : by sages and saints, sita was given seat on left side of lord rama during their marriage, it is the description of the vivah-leela of lord rama. pānau mahāsāyak chāru chāpam : by taking arrows and beautiful bow in hands, lord rama slayed all the evil demons, it is the description of exploits of lord rama in war i.e. rann leela. namāmi rāmam raghuvansh nātham : after killing ravana, the coronation (पत्ताभिषेकं) of lord rama was done on the throne of ayodhya, then lord shiva, lord brahma and all deities made salutations in lotus feet of lord rama. thus it is the description of lord rama's rajya-leela. it unveils how lord rama becomes the delight of all the worlds. whole world became the world of lord rama. after the guru-mantra or ram naam chanting, one should do dvaya-mantra (द्वय-मन्त्र) of bhagavan shri ram at least nine times. okay, it is a very good prayer to lord rama. but why to pray lord rama? why to take the refuge of lord rama, alone? such questions may arise in the minds of beginners who want to learn the science of supreme one, lord rama. why should one pray to lord rama? why should one take the refuge of lord rama, alone? answers of these questions are really not based upon some emotional appeals but verily backed upon clear declarations of all vedic-scriptures and vedic-philosphy. veda-s clearly instruct us to pray and love one supreme personality and that is none other than lord rama. let's have some light on what vedic scriptures and vedavatar shri-mad valmiki-ramayana answers on above questions:- lord rama is the original personality of godhead. how? we will see it in other pages of this website. for the time being one can see here: rama, the primeval purusa lord rama is the only one fit to be taken shelter of for all the worlds. yes, it is very much true and approved by godly sage brahmarshi valmiki through the mouth of maharaj vibheeshana in yuddha kaand of shri-mad valmiki ramayana. nivedeayata maam kshipram raaghavaaya mahaatmane | sarva loka sharanyaaya vibhiisanam upasthitam || (निवेदयत मां क्षिप्रं राघवाय महात्मने । सर्वलोकशरण्याय विभीषणमुपस्थितम् ॥ ) [valmiki ramayana 6.17.17] please inform immediately to high soled rama, who is the only one fit to be taken shelter of for all the worlds . so i have come to him (to take his refuge). lord rama, alone is the ultimate refuge for all, whether one is a god, a demon, a human being (a man, a woman or a child), or a creature other than human-being such as a beast or bird, or belong to differnt social status such as poor or rich etc. nivaasa vr^iksah saadhuunaam aapannaanaam paraa gatih || aartaanaam sa.mshrayah caiva yashasah ca eka bhaajanam | (निवासवृक्षः साधूनामापन्नानां परा गतिः। आर्तानां संश्रयश्चैव यशसश्चैकभाजनम्।। ) [valmiki ramayana 4.15.19] ( साधूनाम् to the virtuous people, निवासवृक्षः a sheltering tree, आपन्नानाम् to the destitutes, परा ultimate / supreme, गतिः refuge, आर्तानाम् to the distressed, संश्रयश्चैव protector, यशसः fame, एकभाजनम् sole repository. ) lord rama is like a sheltering tree to the virtuous, an ultimate (supreme) refuge for the destitutes and a protector of the distressed. he is the only personality who deserves to be famous. so who else apart from lord rama is suitable to be taken as ultimate refuge for jiva-s? lord rama is ishta-deva of all deities including lord shiva, lord hanuman, lord ganesha, lord brahma, lord krishna etc. proof from the self sufficient authority (pramana), shri-mad valmiki ramayana:- इष्ट: सर्वस्य लोकस्य राम: (ishta sarvasya lokasya ramah)- means lord rama is the ishta-deva of all the worlds. lord shiva, lord ganesha, lord hanuman, etc have become the worthy of worship by chanting 'rama' naam alone. all the deities reside in lord rama as lord rama is sarva-devamayam which means shri rama is the origin of all the deities (demi-gods and vishnu-tattva-s). सर्वदेवमयो रामः स्मृतश्चार्त्तिप्रणाशनः ॥ (skanda purana) it means "all the deities reside in śrī rāma or śrī rāma is the original root of everyone . śrī rāma destroys all type of agonies of his devotees." so it is sufficient to serve lord rama, the original cause of all causes, the origin of all, the original root which supports all. the leaves and branches of a tree which gets support and existence from the root, similarly lord rama is the root (origin) and support of the entire creation. there is none who has independent existence beyond lord rama. when one will worship the god of gods, lord rama, then there is no need of worshiping other gods. all the deities will be automatically pleased just by taking refuge into lotus feet of lord rama. even the god of death fears from lord rama. no one in whole world, not even brahma-vishnu-mahesha can do any harm to the devotee of lord rama, once devotee asked the refuge at the lotus feet of lord rama. so it is said "give respect to all deities but love lord rama alone" . no god is superior than lord rama. lord rama is root or origin of all the deities. it is sufficient to serve directly to t
